Student Minister Position

 

Greenwich Anglican Church is seeking a part-time Student Minister. We are a small but growing Anglican Church in northern Sydney.  We have one Sunday Service (9.00am), a small children's ministry, several small Bible Study groups and an International Students Accommodation Centre close by.

About the role

 

Your responsibilities:

The Student Minister will (under God) encourage, lead, teach and help to grow our church.

You will need to demonstrate:

We seek a committed Christian who has the desire to learn how to lead and teach and pastor God's people. Previous experience is not essential but it is desirable. A humble willingness to serve others is essential.

The Student Minister will have the opportunity to lead Services, prepare and preach sermons (at least 1 every two months), co-ordinate and/or lead Bible study groups, engage in cross-cultural ministry to International Students, contribute to the music ministry (if so gifted), contribute to leading our small Sunday School (if suitable), engage in pastoral ministry and evangelistic outreach. This is a paid position for 1 day per week but may be increased if mutually desirable. The position is for one year but may be extended if mutually desirable.
